Pharma Call 1st edition: Meet, Learn & Act
The first edition of Pharma Call with the theme: Meet, Learn & Act provided the pharmacists attending with the opportunity to participate in a training course provided by the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, on the topic 'The future of health: human-centred care in pharmacy'. The course was theory-based and practical and, at the end, each participant received a training certificate accredited by the Portuguese Association of Pharmacists.
This first edition also served to showcase the Meet&Learn training platform, which had been completely revamped, to serve as an ongoing training tool for our partners.
Pharma Call 2nd edition: Meet, Learn & Act
The second edition of Pharma Call took place digitally due to Covid-19.
This edition, which was televised and presented by the journalist Clara de Sousa, had the objective of disclosing the findings of the study “Pharmacies and the Portuguese”, which was conducted by the Centre for Applied Studies (CEA) of the CATÓLICA-LISBON School of Business & Economics. The study included two surveys: one conducted among the Portuguese population, which sought to understand how the Portuguese view Portuguese pharmacies; what they value most and how they rate pharmaceutical practice; and another survey directed towards pharmacists, with the aim of assessing the current concerns of pharmacists and the future needs of Portuguese pharmacies.
The event featured a distinguished panel of guests, including Professor Ana Paula Martins, President of the Portuguese Association of Pharmacists, Diogo Gouveia, Founder of ADIFA (the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Distributors Association), Duarte Santos, President of PGEU (Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union), and Ricardo Reis, Director of CEA, who were invited to comment on the main conclusions of the study.
