You've certainly heard terms like Baby Boomers (1945-1964), Generation X (1965-1979), Millennials (1980-1996) or Generation Z (1997-2012). Did you know that until 2019 the majority of the workforce was made up of Baby Boomers but today it is dominated by the Millennials?
The differences between the different generations that make up organizations, from Baby Boomers and Gen X through Millennials and Gen Z are notable. As such, a company made up of several generations cannot be sustained in models dictated solely by a single generation. The focus should not be on categorization, but on inclusion.
Thus, on the initiative of Tecnimede Group’s CEO, António Donato, the company created the Zennial Talks project which aim to work on the sense of belonging of GTM’s younger generations and involve Junior and mid-level elements in the innovation processes, generating ideas and discussing business strategies, leading to discussions on topics relevant to these generations, such as professional development opportunities, social responsibility, hiring policy and retention, benefits, infrastructure, internal and external communication, company organization, among others. The objective is to hear from a diverse set of GTM employees, representative of different areas of the organization. What can the company do to make these people progress? What can these people do to develop the company? How can we grow together?
This project will be developed in the format of informal monthly meetings and aims to challenge participants to seek positivity as a work methodology and to be agents who will promote change in the company's culture.
