Tecnimede Group was invited to participate in the Católica International Business Think Tank Platform so as to share its experience in international markets. Maria do Carmo Neves, Chairman of Tecnimede Group and Miguel Ruas, Chief Development Officer were present at the event, with more than 50 guests, including municipal officials, association leaders and CEOs of Portuguese companies.
In this Think Tank Maria do Carmo Neves stated that Portugal "should invest in consortia that bring together large companies, the academy and start-ups to ensure that we create the necessary disruption which will allow us to be successful in international markets. This, because the real disruption is in the academy and start-ups.”
The Chairman of Tecnimede Group also warns that it is “very important to generate profit in the domestic market so that we can move towards internationalization. Internationalization is only possible for those who have the means. Simply wanting to internationalize is not enough”.
The Internationalization Think Tank “Act with impact on what is within our reach”, which took place on May 12th at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was hosted by Anabela Campos, a journalist of the Expresso newspaper. She debated the main obstacles faced by Portuguese companies when moving towards internationalization and looked for ways to work around them for an effective sustainable acceleration of our business.
Duarte Pinto, CEO of SUMOL+COMPAL, Maria do Carmo Neves, Chairman of Tecnimede Group, Humberto Brito, President of the Town Hall of Paços de Ferreira and Diana Marques Brás, representing the Secretary of State for Internationalization closed the panel that discussed this topic in which there was strong participation from the audience.
